All Roads Lead to Westminster

All all roads lead to the Westminster West Community Fair!

The parade this year is honoring our town road crew - those hearty folk who keep us on the straight and not-so-narrow, out of the mud and snow. The slogan is, “All Roads Lead to Westminster West”. If you’d like to march in the parade, please join us around 10AM at the school to get organized. Those usually marching include New Neighbors, Drummers (riding on a hay wagon, actually), Our Elected Officials, The Ladies, the Peace Dove (we’re always looking for dove carriers), musicians, and decorated bikes carrying kids of all ages. NEW THIS YEAR: If you’d like to see the road crew’s fancy equipment up close, come check it out at the school at 10. Still have questions? Call 387-5694 for more info.

Fair Events

Back this year will be the big ticket raffle. Only 200 tickets will be sold, $10 each or 6 for $50, so your chances are good.

There’ll be the usual selection of entertainment and activities from races in the morning to the talent show in the afternoon. In between there is the fabulous chicken BBQ and the ever popular and exclusive “Whack-a-Corn-Cob.” Or you can browse through the selections in the silent auction or Golden Elephant sale.

Donations for the silent auction and the ‘Golden Elephant’ may be dropped off at the church from 6-8 PM on the evenings leading up to the fair: Monday Aug 26-Friday Aug 30 and Tuesday Sept.3-Thursday Sept 5. Thanks!
